Guyana - Suriname

Suriname has beaten Guyana in the away match by 1-2 and has reached stage 3 of the World Cup qualification. This is a great result for the Suriname team as Guyana used professional players in the matches while Suriname is depending on local players without any professional background. For a matchreport click on this link. Suriname will now face Haiti, Costa Rica and El Salvador in the next group stage. These 6 matches will be played from August untill November 2008 in which the 2 best teams will qualify for stage 4.

Suriname has beaten Guyana by 1-0 in the first match in stage 2 for the 2010 South Africa World Cup qualification. The only goal was scored by Clifton Sandvliet in the second half of the match that was dominated by the Suirname team. For a matchreport click on following link.
