The 1994-95 season saw manager Joe Jordan move on after less than a year in charge, to be replaced by his own predecessor, and fans favourite, Lou Macari who returned to the club after a similarly brief spell in Scotland.

Macari brought in players like Kevin Keen and Ray Wallace, but it was the summer acquisition of Canadian striker Paul Peschisolido which was the most telling and he finished as the club’s top scorer with 15 in all competitions.
