Consistency seems to be the keyword during the 1972 - 73 season for FC Nantes. With a team consisting out of a strong starting core –with the likes of Bernard Blanchet, Henri Michel & Jean-Paul Bertrand-Demanes amongst its ranks– who would play most of the games that season. Goals flowing freely from both attack, the midfield behind and the Stade Marcel-Saupin proving a nearly unassailable fortress with Les Canaris just losing once at their home ground. It was this consistency that would make this season an unforgettable one, bringing a third national championship and second place in the Coupe De France to Nantes.
